 Description

     FIELDNUM() is the exact opposite of the CA-Clipper FIELD() function.

        the function returns a value of 0.

 Example

     Is it a field or a variable?

     IF FIELDNUM("cName") > 0.
        REPLACE cName WITH UPPER(cName).
     ELSE.
        cName  :=  UPPER(cName).
     ENDIF
